Genowefa Nina Szczerbowska was born in Nysa, Poland in 1952, where she was the 2nd of 8 children. In 1982 she fled communist Poland and became a refugee in Austria briefly until she was able to emigrate to the USA, where she currently resides in Lincoln, NE. Photography has been a large part of Nina's life, but has taken off in the last few years, with many of her pieces showing up across Lincoln in Art Gallery's, restaurants, and coffee shops. She was also the headlining piece for the Nebraska Women Caucus for Art show in 2006.
